What is the Widest Office Chair for the Overweight Person?

The widest office chair that we have been able to find that offers support for heavier people is the Safeco Uber office chair for big and tall people.  The chair has a seating width of 23 inches.

When you are comparing seat widths on the chairs, make sure that you are not looking at the manufacturer’s measurement from the outside of the chair to the outer most part of the opposite side of the chair (you will see measurements of 27 or 28 inches).  You want the width of the actual seating space of the chair.

Most chairs are 20-22 inches in width, with the Safeco Uber having 23 inches.
